Access Multilingual Information opinionS
With the growth of the information in different media such as TV programs or internet, a new issue arises. How a user can access to the information which is expressed in a foreign language? The idea of the project is to develop a multilingual help system of understanding without any human being intervention broadcasting news, presented in a foreign language and to compare it to the corresponding one available in the mother tongue of the user.
Software-defined integration of elastic optical networks and cognitive wireless networks in the context of packet services
Wireless networks, such as cellular networks, are in common use.  Their constantly increasing data rates are made possible by their integration with optical networks.  Cognitive wireless networks and elastic optical networks are the newest research topics in the field of these networks.  In the future the integration of the two network types will be software-defined, i.e.
Flow-Aware Networks, Multilayer Optical Networks, Quality of Service, traffic engineering, Grade of Serrvice, Quality of Resilience
2012 - 2016
In the project, the mechanisms for adopting the FAN (Flow-Aware Networking) concept to the optical layer will be proposed.
An Analysis of the Possibility of Utilizing IEEE 802.11 Wireless Networks in the Future Internet
Wireless local area networks (WLANs) based on the IEEE 802.11 standard should play a significant role  in the Future Internet. To facilitate their achieving this goal,  within this project we envision two research paths: evolutionary and revolutionary. The first is related to upcoming extensions to the IEEE 802.11 standard and focuses on  the analysis of performance, susceptibility to misbehaviour, and cooperation with the current version of the standard. The second path is related to introducing Future Internet functionalities in WLANs: autonomicity and network virtualization.
